Sometimes when you see a food pod like a pile of ice, and wonder why you cant melt it, then you might not have the right upgrade for your weapon.
the better you're upgrade is, the faster it melts. (Cal's second level has a ice pile on a English phonebooth. You can melt it with upgrade 3.)
