Call of Duty Roman Wars was pitched but never prototyped confirms Activision

This week we discovered more about Call of Duty Roman Wars - a potential spin off from the main series that was internally pitched at Activision a few years back.

Activision has now responded with a statement confirming the game existed but, as we already knew, never went past the pitch stage. Here's the statement, from an Activision spokesperson:

"The game concept was proposed by a former employee while working at the studio, but was not seriously considered nor requested to move to prototype.”

Shame really as from the poll below 81% of you would have played it had been made, so maybe Activision missed a trick by letting that one go.

You can catch up on the whole story by reading the feature or, if words aren't your thing, then this video sums it all up.
