Visually Boom Boom Rocket looks decent, if not spectacular. Trippy flash effects light up the sky at certain points, and the firework effects look OK. Not that you’ll notice either of the effects that much, as you’ll be concentrating on the next batch of rockets ascending your screen. It does make for a nice music visualizer, though.
This is one of those games that splits opinions down the middle. At around $10 real dollars (800 Microsoft Points), Boom Boom Rocket does offer a somewhat satisfying pick-up-and-play experience that some folks will be happy to have on hand, and that can be quite theraputic. But many others will get all the enjoyment they need out of BBR by simply downloading the free demo. Definitely try the demo first to see where you fall on that line.
