Welcome to Bungie, where you're more likely to catch a guy walking down the hall swinging a Gravity Hammer than a guy walking down the hall in a necktie. Last week, I visited Halo HQ for five hours ofhands-on with Reach's multiplayerand, while there, snapped some photos of thelobby, hallwaysand game demo rooms to share the experience with you, my jealous readers.
After all, why should I be the only one who gets to stand next to a life-size Master Chief? Enjoy the tour, and let us knowif these "behind the scenes" peeks are something you'd like to see more of in the future.
Above: The front desk, temporarily transformed for interview purposes. Hmm, wonder what franchise they make here?
Above: This statue is "life" size... all seven feet of Master Chief (not including stand!) intimidate visitors as they exit the elevators
Above: The waiting area serves as both ODST museum and shoe storage. Honestly, I have no idea what's up with all the black boxes
Above: Close up on the Recon armor. Check out that realistic wear and tear
Above: More prop armor. Looks like someone could actually wear this...
Above: The interview room. Cute
Above: A full replica Gravity Hammer just chilling next to the light switch and electrical outlets
Above: And these are Bungie's recycling bins. I like to imagine the developers play spontaneous bouts of "Cowboys and Indians" with this stuff
Above: A hallway. Sorry, only plaques for the announced games here
Above: The life of a games journalist is hard. That's Official Xbox Magazine EICFrancesca Reyes on the far left
Above: The women's restroom guarded by - appropriately enough - Bungie's only female protagonist
Well, kids? Still wanna work here?
