Battlefield 3’s still looking great. Today, Electronic Arts released a batch of new screenshots ripped from the singleplayer campaign to show off DICE’s Frostbite 2 engine. Check them out and admire those graphics in our screenshot gallery!

Today’s release of new images follows the announcement for Battlefield 3: Operation Gridiron, a Battlefield-themed reality show that follows NFL athletes through special combat training and simulated operations based on scenarios in Battlefield 3’s campaign.

Battlefield 3 will be launching on October 25 in North America and on October 28 in Europe. In the meantime, you can find out more about how nice it feels to go prone in our latest hands-on preview of Operation Guillotine.

it looks pretty but I predict the single player won't live up to the hype set up by EA. Plus from other sections seen in trailers it looks like it's following the annoying trend started by COD in which player control is limited to create cinematic events. I only care about the multiplayer and co-op in battlefield so if the single player does under-perform then there's no real loss for me.

So you get to be a WSO in the F/A-18F in the campaign. I'm guessing that it'll be like the F-15E WSO seat in BF2 with the TV-guided missiles. Wonder if it's in multiplayer? I'm guessing not?

Looks awesome. I also watched the most recent single player trailer for MW3 and that looks awesome too. I guess I will have to buy BF3 for the multi player and rent MW3 for the single player.

Looks like a great game, but I've lost my taste for warfare shooters. There's just too many of them nowadays (even though tis one stands out of the crowd). They are so mainstream ;D

Just got a new GPU and can run the beta at ultra/high. BF3 will only run better after release. (after the 1st month atleast) Looking at these screens, im very excited! My GPU demands eye candy!
