Barbarella would be great as a Bayonetta-type game, with Marcel Marceau playing the Rodin part. There are so many different areas Barbarella visits, you'd get to fight off killer dolls, there's a flight level, there's a QTE to fight off Durand Durand's sex-machine. You could almost plug Barbarella into Bayonetta right now, actually.

Akira would be fucking epic. And when he starts freaking out spilling his guts that could be a mini game. Lets see if you can fit them all back in before people think you are insane and you pass out. Plus several different endings depending on what you do.

Idiots...everyone knows that dinosaurs went extinct in 1936 after Hitler decided they were in line with the "unfavorable" people

Seven Samurai may be my favorite movie of all time. They don't make action stars like Toshiro Mifune anymore.

there is actually a game in development called spec ops: the line which is taking lots of influence from heart of darkness/apocalypse now. it's a modern retelling set in dubai and it looks awesome!

A "The Birds" game would be epic. However, I've only seen a couple of other movies on the list, but it's nice that you summarized them.

Having played Seven Samurai 20XX (and given up on it after a particularly jarring fight with pink roller-skating twin bosses) I must say I would indeed prefer a game based on the original with a more realistic take. There simply aren't enough Samurai games out there. Not serious, good ones, anyway.

First! (JK!) This was an interesting article. Do a classic game-to-movie article.
