Will Smith unlikely to return for Men In Black 4
"Three is enough for me"
Will Smith has thrown a potential spanner in the works of Sony's fourth Men In Black film, revealing that he intends to leave the third film as his last outing.
We learned a little earlier this year that Sony had put screenwriter Oren Uziel to work on a script for a potential fourth film , but those plans may be derailed by Smith's unwillingness to return.
"I think three is enough for me," said the star. "Three of anything is enough for me. We’ll look at it and we’ll consider it, but it feels like that it might be time to let someone else do that."
Not a definite "no" then, but it doesn't sound as though he's in any great hurry to don the suit and shades for a fourth outing.
In which case, will Sony still push on with the series despite losing its star name? Common sense would suggest not, but with the third film grossing a franchise best total of $624 million, don't write it off just yet...
