Yu-Gi-Oh! GX: Tag Force 3 review

The Yu-Gi-Oh! games are as impenetrable as Alcatraz, throwing the unwitting player into complex card-battling before they’ve even had time to draw breath. Tag Force 3 is just as off-putting for newcomers as the rest of the series, but if you stick with it there’s a canyon-deep title underneath.

To the layman, it’s simple in premise: battle your opponent’s creature cards with your own – the one with the highest attack rating wins. There’s more (spells, special effects etc.), but if you’re interested in playing it there’s a good chance you know the basics already.

More cards and characters make this the best one yet, although it’s difficult to get too excited over what’s essentially an expanded database. Fans will likely pay out over again, but we can’t help but feel they’re being robbed.
