Well, here's hoping Microsoft has a lot of new stuff to show off at its E3 2015 conference - because Head of Xbox, Phil Spencer just took to the Xbox Wire blog to announce that three of his console's most-anticipated games won't be at the show:
"Having a jam-packed lineup of games to show at E3 means that there simply isn’t enough time to give each of our upcoming titles its well-deserved time in the spotlight. We’ve decided to save some of our most eagerly-awaited future titles for gamescom in August. Rest assured that titles like Crackdown, Quantum Break and Scalebound will be front and center at gamescom along with new game reveals for both Xbox One and Windows 10."
We knew that Halo 5: Guardians, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Forza Motorsport 6 and either a new Gears of War or a remaster of the original would likely be taking centre stage, but I must say I expected to see updates on at least Crackdown and Scalebound, both of which got CG announcement trailers at last year's conference.
But let's look on the bright side - not only will pushing these games up to a headline position at another conference mean we'll probably see more of them, but it's an implication that there will be more unannounced fare at the Xbox presser. You can't fill a show with four games, so perhaps that new, exclusive IP Phil Spencer talked about is just the tip of the iceberg.
Let's all find out together at the Microsoft press conference on Monday, eh?
