Animal Crossing has some of the best toys you can collect, but not all of the cute collectibles make their way outside of Japan. For example, I've been gazing longingly at photos of Re-ments Mini Figures Happy Room Collection Blind Boxes for months now, wishing I could grace my gaming room with its adorable miniatures.
The toy set features up to six different Animal Crossing rooms you can put together and display, but they've been exclusive to Japan for a while now. Just when I was about to give up owning these adorable toys, Nintendo came to the rescue. The official UK storefront now has the Re-ment blind boxes available for £12.99 (Nintendo) each, where they'll send you one at random of these adorable little rooms.
You can't buy the entire set, which I would have gladly done if Nintendo had given me the option. But I'm just happy to see these available in the UK and out of the greedy hands of resellers on second-hand sites.
For just £12.99, Nintendo UK will send you one of six designs at random that feature tiny buildable rooms featuring a range of iconic Animal Crossing characters. You can build everything from Isabelle at her desk as the New Horizons Resident Services, to The Roost cafe, which even comes with the tiniest coffee cup I've ever seen.

Blind boxes can be a bit of a pain, as you never know quite what you're going to get. However, it must've been my lucky day as when my Happy Room box from Nintendo UK arrived, I got the exact set I was eyeing up online all those months ago. I opened up my blind box to reveal a tiny plastic version of Brewster, my (and my co-worker and fellow massive Animal Crossing Fan Benjamin's) favorite Animal Crossing character.
Not to make Benjamin extra jealous, but this little version of the Roost cafe is the cutest piece of Animal Crossing merch I've ever owned. I was fully expecting the walls of the room to be lazily made up of stickers, but the rows of coffee grounds and cups are actually 3-dimensional. There's a lot of detail that's been crammed in this little toy set, as even the exterior walls feature the halls of the museum, exactly where you can find Brewster and the Roost cafe when you unlock them in New Horizons.
Setting up this little toy set is pretty easy. There's a bracket that snaps the two room walls in place, and a tiny translucent plastic stand that prevents the mini Brewster from falling over. The best detail was that there's a minuscule bit of brown plastic that you slide into the coffee cup to give it the illusion that there's really coffee inside - something I found it impossible not to fawn over as I put the whole thing together.
I actually own the full-sized replica of the Brewster coffee cup, which I've included in an image down below for scale. If that doesn't show you how cute and tiny the Happy Room toys are, I don't know what will.

If you aren't as big into Brewster like myself or Benjamin, don't worry. You can also grab a Timmy and Tommy room which showcases some of their shop items, Isabelle as I mentioned earlier, Marshall and his piano, Bob and his playroom furniture, and even Whitney, too.
As they're all in scale with one another, the more you get, the more you can mix and match the furniture and characters. It's why I was hoping Nintendo UK would allow you to grab the entire set of Re-ment figures in one go, but alas, you can only grab one singular box at a time.
If you're a US Animal Crossing fan and you're desperate for these adorable toys, I'm afraid they aren't yet on the official US Nintendo storefront. Nintendo updates merchandise available at the US online store pretty frequently, so I wouldn't be surprised if the Re-ments Mini Figures Happy Room Collection blind boxes appear in the future.
They are at least available for $19.99 at Amazon if you don't mind shopping outside of Nintendo for all your Animal Crossing merch. You won't get that fabulous Super Mario-branded box when it arrives, but who needs fancy-printed cardboard when you can get access to some of the cutest Animal Crossing merch around?

Ever since I first held a NES controller in my hand I've been obsessed with gaming, and the hardware it runs on. I could hook up a NES and SNES to a telly, without instructions, before I could walk. Even now, nothing is more exciting then taking a console, or handheld, out the box for the first time and setting it up. This obsession transformed into a love of games and game music, which lead to my music degree and dream of becoming the Scottish Nobuo Uematsu. After sharing my love of games through music, I began to share my love through words on sites like TechRadar and iMore. This lead to becoming a Hardware staff writer for PCGamesN, and later the Senior Tech Writer for Dexerto, covering all things Steam Deck, PlayStation and Nintendo. With that experience, I was able to level up as Hardware Editor for GamesRadar+, where I'm still just as Nintendo, PlayStation and gaming tech obsessed as ever.
