Torterra is the final evolution of the sapling snapping turtle Pokemon Turtwig. No longer a simple reptile, Torterra is a massive ankylosaur, sporting a mountainous spike and a giant tree on its back, conveying both of its aspects. After two stages as a pure-grass type, he gains a second Ground type, making it one of the more interesting of the new type combinations. While this setup makes it double weak to Ice and Poison attacks, the Grass type protects its Ground aspect from Water attacks, while the Ground type is an effective counter to fire attacks. Its new Leaf Storm move is the most powerful Grass-type attack, but lowers Torterra's Special Attack rating, making subsequent uses weaker.
