The Nintendo Switch 2 has been available for just under a year at this point, and yet bundle deals have been thin on the ground. A combination of pricing worries and the sheer stubbornness of Ninty hardware means the latest handheld has seldom seen a penny off its value (unless you're counting the official Mario Kart World package) when bought with extra accessories or games. I did not have Dell down as the retailer to change that this week, though.

The PC brand has listed a mega Switch 2 bundle for $689.99 this week, on the face of it that's a $15 discount over everything sitting out at MSRP - but there's one memory card-shaped problem. Amazon currently has the Samsung 256GB MicroSD Express card on sale, for $20 off its usual $59.99 MSRP. That means you're actually better off grabbing everything separately right now.

Save $15 - Dell isn't averse to shifting its sale prices around, so I'll leave this one here in case those numbers do fall a little further. However, you're saving $15 on this all-in-one bundle whereas sticking everything in a basket at Amazon will only run you $685.65. Hey, $4 is $4.

Let's break it down a little further - I've been tracking the best Nintendo Switch bundles for years and the first thing I tell shoppers to check is individual prices.

  • Nintendo Switch 2: $449 at Amazon
  • Donkey Kong Bananza: $69 at Amazon
  • Samsung 256GB memory card: $39 at Amazon (usually $59.99)
  • Switch 2 Pro Controller: $89 at Amazon
  • Hori Compact Carry All: $39.65 at Amazon

Nintendo Switch 2 bundles don't come around too often, so it's easy to get excited when those familiar Joy-Con pop up on a store page. Dell's discount is solid, if sales weren't taking place separately elsewhere, but it just goes to show how important the nitty gritty details are. Sure, you're only saving $4 by opting for Amazon instead but there's also an all-important degree of flexibility on offer here.

After all, if you're not fussed about Donkey Kong Bananza that memory card discount is giving you a little wiggle room to swap your game of choice. The only time I'd recommend going for Dell's bundle instead is if you're a Dell Rewards customer - then you'll be able to lock in a $25 reward and the value swings back in your favor.

Personally? If I was buying a Nintendo Switch 2 right now? I'd stick with Amazon for the flexibility. I'd also grab an entirely different bundle alongside that discounted memory card.

Nintendo Switch 2 | Mario Kart World | $528 $499.99 at AmazonSave $28.01 - $499.99 MSRP this week

Nintendo Switch 2 | Mario Kart World | $528 $499.99 at Amazon
Save $28.01 - The Mario Kart World bundle is still alive and well on the shelves, and represents the best way to pick up the new handheld this week. This package shaves just under $30 off the $79 price of the latest racer (usually you'd be paying $528 for both together) and was supposed to die off back in October. Amazon still has stock available at the regular $499.99 MSRP this week, throw in the discounted memory card and you're good to go.
