Genre-blending war games don't get any more ambitious than the upcoming Pacific Storm. Combining real-time and turn-based strategy with first-person action, Pacific Storm rams more game elements into a single title than anything we've seen to date - but will it work?
The nearly endless unit details and logistic information in the planning mode should satisfy nearsighted statisticians and dedicated wargamers alike. But commanding our Pacific forces in real-time and taking to the skies as an ace fighter pilot should keep the rest of us happy.
Hit the Images tab above to see why we think this one looks like three games at once. If this is as fun as it looks, Pacific Storm should prove to be a towering value for historical strategy fans.
