We've rounded up a few stray PlayStation 3 shots of Sonic the Hedgehog, the next-gen platformer that will be released for both PS3 and Xbox 360 later this year.
Sonic Team's idea behind this latest Sonic game is to go back to basics in an attempt to harness the speed and attitude that made the original Mega Drive Sonic such a huge hit way back in 1991.
Significantly, though, it will be using the power of next-gen consoles Xbox 360 and PS3 in order to make the action as dynamic and intense as possible.
The game will also feature a second playable character called Silver the Hedgehog who looks like Sonic but has a different skill set. Instead of supersonic speed, Silver has telekinetic power that allows him to lift up any object that's not fixed to the floor.
Above: It will be interesting to see how this compares with the impressive Wii game, Sonic Wild Fire
