That New 3DS XL sounds great, right? But the look of those New Black, New Red (for US) and New Blue (for UK) systems is just a little drab. Luckily, you won't have to wait long for the nifty looking special editions to start pouring in - in fact, you won't have to wait at all for the Majora's Mask 3D and Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate versions.
Both unique designs will be available on February 13 along with their monochromatic cousins. You can see the Majora's Mask version above, which sports a familiar gold finish and a filigree design featuring the game's five key masks. It doesn't seem to include the game itself in North America, where it retails for the standard price of $199.99, but European buyers will get a pre-installed copy.
The Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate bundle includes the game and a special system with a brushed silver aesthetic, featuring a stylized logo and title off to the side and bottom of the system. It will retail for $229.99, which is $10 less than buying the game and a system separately. European prices are TBA for both special editions.
Both Majora's Mask and Monster Hunter take advantage of the New 3DS' C-Stick for easier camera work, and Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate boasts "customizable" ZL and ZR buttons.

I got a BA in journalism from Central Michigan University - though the best education I received there was from CM Life, its student-run newspaper. Long before that, I started pursuing my degree in video games by bugging my older brother to let me play Zelda on the Super Nintendo. I've previously been a news intern for GameSpot, a news writer for CVG, and was formerly a staff writer at GamesRadar+.
