It looks like Kylo Ren will be taking yet another cue from Grandpa Anakin and getting his own custom TIE Fighter (or at least something that looks like a TIE-class starship) in Star Wars: The Last Jedi (opens in new tab). German hobby shop Mikado (opens in new tab) revealed the ship as part of a pre-order promotion - apparently inadvertently, as the page which hosted the deal seems to have since been de-listed.
Of course, on the internet, nothing is lost forever, and you can still see it below:
The wide, flat center is reminiscent of Ren's command shuttle, as seen in The Force Awakens (opens in new tab). The long, angular wings are more characteristic of the Empire's TIE Interceptor model, though they're a bit longer and meaner-looking here. So just like how Darth Vader had a TIE Fighter that was customized and more advanced than the standard model, so too does it appear that Ren will have his own vessel, unique to him.
We've gotten a ton of info on the upcoming film since Star Wars Celebration 2017 (opens in new tab), and we can't wait to find out more. So until then, let's just watch the Last Jedi trailer (opens in new tab) again. And again.
Directed by Rian Johnson and starring Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Laura Dern, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Adam Driver, Gwendoline Christie, and Benicio del Toro, Star Wars: The Last Jedi opens in cinemas on December 15, 2017.
