Forgetting Sarah Marshall's Kristen Bell will be tapping into her bitchy side for one of the main roles in Burlesque.
In the musical drama, Christina Aguilera will play a fresh-off-the-bus waif with a solid voice who fins work at a neo-burlesque club in Los Angeles (think the Pussycat Dolls meets Cabaret).
But there's trouble when Aguilera becomes a rising star among the sexy dancers - lead performer Nikki (Bell) starts to unravel when she discovers the new competition for the spotlight.
Yes, it could so easily descend into the likes of Showgirls or - worse- Glitter - but then it might also end up a guilty pleasure.
Director Steve Antin will be hoping for success when he starts filming the thing next month for a late 2010 release date.
