Part Rollercoaster Tycoon and part slasher movie, My Cannibal Family lets you build an alluring theme park and harvest unfortunate thrill seekers to grow your monstrous family
My Cannibal Family is a monster mash of genres, but it won't be out until 2027
Just revealed at the Future Games Show Summer Showcase, My Cannibal Family is a mad mashup of theme park construction simulator and murderous mutant stealth action.
From the UK-based studio Wolf & Wood, the developers behind The Last Worker and A Chair In A Room: Greenwater, My Cannibal Family puts you in control of a former mobster turned mutated monster after being left to die in some toxic waste.
To survive, grow, and exact your revenge, you need to start constructing a remote theme park to lure in warm bodies ripe for feasting on. By night, you get to savagely kill your victims with all sorts of weapons and traps, then harvest their corpses for goo.
You can then use this resource to unlock new traps and weapons or expand your family. You can then assign jobs to your mutant kin to keep your operation afloat and efficient, such as assisting with resource-gathering, and reviving other players – yes, My Cannibal Family also has four-player online and two-player split-screen co-op options.
The ultimate goal is to increase your park's notoriety to the point that members of the mob that originally left you for dead start showing up, letting you get your gruesome revenge and progress through the game's campaign. All this while trying to not to reveal yourself and scare off visitors.
My Cannibal Family is expecting to release some time in 2027 on PS5, Xbox Series X, and Steam. If it takes your fancy, why not follow the game to keep up to date with development and any release date announcements.
