The award for the cutest game at the Future Games Show Summer Showcase may well have to go to Hela, a new co-op adventure game where you play as a sweet, tiny mouse sporting an equally adorable magical frog backpack.
When your kind witch friend falls ill, you take it upon yourself to help her. So you head out into the world to explore, gather resources and ingredients to then brew into potions to heal the witch.
The brand new gameplay trailer just shown off at Future Games Show revealed some more of what Hela's multiplayer experience will be like. You can really tell this developer team includes some of the minds behind Unravel, because the way the co-op works here really does have some serious Yarny energy.
However, the vibe is intended to be way more happy and positive that our favorite balls of yarn, and a big part of the mood-lifting in this trailer comes from the magic backpack.
It enables you to glide, and you can even bounce off another backpack like a bouncepad to reach new heights. It's going to come in very handy for helping solve the various environmental puzzles you'll discover along the way. Plus the more you explore, the more story fragments you'll find, and you can weave your own tale by performing acts of kindness in this ever shifting natural world.
You can wishlist Hela on Steam now ahead of its unannounced release date, when it'll also drop on Xbox Series X and PS5.
