Kiki Wolfkill, former 343 Industries and Halo TV series producer, is leaving her role as head of Xbox film and television after nearly three decades at Microsoft.
She reveals as much in a new post on LinkedIn, looking back fondly at her extensive time at Microsoft while announcing her departure: "After 28 years, I've made the difficult but exhilarating decision to leave Microsoft! Friday was my last day at a place where I grew up and learned so many invaluable lessons – how to listen, lead, be accountable, and most importantly, to care deeply for who you serve – your team and your audience."
Wolfkill continues, expressing her gratitude. "I'm so grateful for the opportunities that Microsoft has given me and the career that it let me build in an industry that I love."

"At the same time, there is a version of me outside of Microsoft that I'm excited to grow and evolve," she explains. "I have so many learnings to carry forward and more impact to be made, and I couldn't be more inspired to climb the next mountain! More to come on that front."
Wolfkill then concludes with a heartfelt "thank you" for those she worked alongside over the last few decades or so, saying, "What a gift the last 28 years has been."
That's no short stint, that's for sure – throughout her time at Microsoft, Wolfkill served as the director of art, 343 Industries executive producer and studio head, and most recently, head of Xbox film and TV. The talented lead has helped spearhead projects like the live-action Halo series and more, and also works as part of the games advisory board for the Tribeca Film Festival.

I'd suggest folks keep an eye on her profile to see what's yet to come for Wolfkill. From the sound of her post on LinkedIn, it's likely she's got plans elsewhere – but whether or not that elsewhere will fall into the gaming sphere remains to be seen.

After spending years with her head in various fantastical realms' clouds, Anna studied English Literature and then Medieval History at the University of Edinburgh, going on to specialize in narrative design and video game journalism as a writer. She has written for various publications since her postgraduate studies, including Dexerto, Fanbyte, GameSpot, IGN, PCGamesN, and more. When she's not frantically trying to form words into coherent sentences, she's probably daydreaming about becoming a fairy druid and befriending every animal or she's spending a thousand (more) hours traversing the Underdark in Baldur's Gate 3. If you spot her away from her PC, you'll always find Anna with a fantasy book, a handheld video game console of some sort, and a Tamagotchi or two on hand.
