1348 Ex Voto is out now, and its new launch trailer shows off Aeta's martial mastery in stunning historical environments
Go on a heroic quest across 14th century Italy to save your damsel in distress
Chivalric action game 1348 Ex Voto is out now, and its new launch trailer, shown at the Future Games Show Spring Showcase Powered by HyperX, provides a look at its brutal third-person melee combat and questing action.
Created by the Italian indie studio Sedleo and published by Dear Villagers, 1348 Ex Voto tells the tale of Aeta, a young and noble knight errant on a perilous quest across the plague-ridden locales of medieval Italy to save her childhood friend and the person most dear to her, Bianca.
If you've heard of this game before, it's likely because Bianca is played by Jennifer English of Baldur's Gate 3 and Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 fame. She won the Best Performance award at the 2025 Game Awards for playing Maelle in Expedition 33, so you can expect some pretty good performances in 1348 Ex Voto.
However, this launch trailer focuses much more on gameplay and Aeta's journey. On her quest, Aeta must fight a whole range of ne'er-do-wells across the beautiful, bloody, and bubonic landscapes of the states and kingdoms that used to dominate Italy in the 1300s – from forests and fields to ancient palaces, war-torn ruins, and enduring castles. 1348 Ex Voto's melee combat system even was even created in collaboration with experts for a more authentic Historical European Martial Arts feel.
As mentioned, 1348 Ex Voto is now available on PS5 and PC via the Epic Games Store and Steam, and you can follow the game on Twitter here! There's also a demo for the game on Steam if you want to give it a try first.
