Spider-Noir season 1 ending recap
In Spider-Noir season 1 episode 8, Cat Hardy asks to meet privately with Janet, and promptly apologizes for selling out Ben to Dr. Faber. She explains that she can make it up to him by giving Flint and Dirk the antidote. However, Silvermane is also well aware of the antidote and its ability to neutralize his superpowered goons and now wants it for himself, as a means to control the situation (and likely give it to the Spider so that it'll be much easier to kill him). Knowing that Ben Reilly is his only real connection to the Spider, he sends his goons to find and bring back Ben.
Dirk and Flint arrive at Robbie's apartment to take him to Silvermane, but he sadly doesn't get to take the antidote along with him. Silvermane asks Ben to make a phone call to the Spider (who is quite literally Robbie on the other end of the line). After 'the Spider' agrees to come and bring the antidote, Dirk suddenly realizes that he fought in the war with Ben... and that's why Ben is so familiar. Silvermane suddenly starts to put together that Ben can't be the only one in his platoon who doesn't have superpowers, and therefore must be the Spider.
Thinking quickly, Ben tells him that he saved the Spider's life, but that he doesn't have any powers himself. In order to test this, Silvermane points a loaded gun at Cat Hardy and says he knows the Spider wouldn't let her die. However, Ben's powers still aren't fully recharged after his fight with Tombstone, and he's unable to use his webs to retrieve the gun. In an effort to stall, Cat reveals that she's the one who hired Addison to burn down Silvermane's mansion and that she did it all because of her love for Flint Marko. Silvermane, angry but not entirely surprised, comes close to pulling the trigger. Luckily, 'the Spider' appears in the nick of time, and Cat is able to snatch the gun back. Silvermane gives 'the Spider' his business pitch, asking him to work for his criminal enterprise, but 'the Spider' refuses. Ben tells 'the Spider' that he should cool it before refusing Silvermane's offer, as he probably doesn't want to enter into combat just yet (because Ben still hasn't fully recharged from his fight with Silvermane).
The rest of Silvermane's goons come in with Janet, who was presumably waiting outside with the antidote. Dirk snatches it and injects 'the Spider' with it, assuming that 'the Spider' is now powerless and has been defeated (which is, of course, not the case, as that's Robbie in the suit). Silvermane demands Dirk give him the antidote, but decides to "play a little game." If the Spider is no threat now, Dirk posits, then why does Silvermane still want the antidote? Flint and Dirk decide to unmask 'the Spider' and are disappointed to find out that it's Robbie. While they're distracted, Ben regains his powers and is able to retrieve the antidote... and an all-out shootout begins. When the fight moves out to the streets, Ben puts the costume back on and runs at Dirk with the antidote in hand. Unfortunately, Dirk manages to use his electric powers to overheat the syringe and cause it to burst. Ben uses the rest of his strength to subdue Flint and Dirk, while Cat shoots Silvermane dead inside the lounge.

The citizens of New York crowd around Ben, Flint, and Dirk as they enter into the final showdown of the season. Dirk moves to electrocute Ben to death, but Cat Hardy stops him. She fires her gun, but it's all out of ammo. Dirk electrocutes Cat, which prompts Flint to finally try to take him down. As Dirk's power becomes even stronger, he starts to crystallize the sand in Flint's body, slowly killing him. Ben regains consciousness and uses his webs to fling Dirk into an oncoming subway train. The public cheers for the Spider.
As Flint lays dying, Ben gives Cat the last remaining vial of the antidote. We cut to Silvermane's funeral, where Cat and Flint are the only ones in attendance. Ben stops by, and Cat attempts to apologize in her own special Cat way... which Ben rebuffs and essentially tells her to piss off. We then cut to Ben and Robbie sitting on the fire escape outside of Ben's office, watching the Mayor celebrate his reelection. Inside, Janet is ordering some repairs and renovations. A newspaper that says "Harlem Herald" hits the desk. Robbie sums it up perfectly: "After all that, I get a newspaper to run, Morris wins, Flint gets the girl, and Janet gets a new office." When asked what he gets, Ben replies that he'll settle for a hot dog. As the three head out to get that hot dog, the phone rings, and Janet answers it as "Reilly and Ruiz Investigations."
Who dies in the Spider-Noir season 1 ending?
There are only two major deaths in Spider-Noir season 1 episode 8: Dirk Leydon, who is killed by an oncoming subway train at the hands of Ben Reilly, and Silvermane, who is shot dead by Cat.
Throughout the season, we saw the death of Addison, the man with pyro powers (who is not the superhero Molten Man like fans originally thought), Silvermane's goon Winston, as well as Dr. Faber and her son.
What happens to Tombstone?
After being jabbed in the eye with the antidote by Ronnie, Lonnie loses all of his powers and decides to leave the city to lead a normal life. In the finale, Robbie remarks that he's on the way to Niagara Falls with his mother.
Does Ben Reilly take the antidote?
Nope. Using Ben's DNA, Dr. Faber creates four vials that contain the antidote. The first one breaks when Robbie attempts to inject Lonnie, and instead jabs the second one into his eye. The third one is wasted when Dirk injects 'the Spider,' who is really just Robbie wearing the Spider suit. The fourth and final one is used by Cat to cure Flint Marko. When Cat asks Ben why he would give Flint the cure, he tells her that she knows why. And we can infer that Ben, presumably after his talk with Robbie in episode 7, has a change of heart and wants to bear this responsibility after all.
It's important to note that Ben's DNA was used to make the cure as he was the only one who wasn't directly experimented on, as he gained his powers from being bitten from the Man Spider, and therefore wasn't getting weaker and weaker as he used his powers.
Do Cat Hardy and Flint Marko end up together?
Yes. After Dirk electrocutes Flint to the point of near-death, Ben gives Cat the antidote. We don't see her inject him, but we instead cut to the two holding hands at Silvermane's funeral. Ben tells Flint, who no longer has patches of sand on his skin, that he's looking better. After Ben tells Cat that he doesn't forgive her for what she did, she and Flint walk off together. We don't know if the two will stay in New York, or run away together like Cat had previously planned.
Does Robbie get his job back at the Bugle?
Even better: Robbie gets to be the editor-in-chief of his own paper, the Harlem Herald. Sure, the Bugle gave him his desk back, but they kept twisting his words and printing falsehoods with his name on it. It only makes sense that Robbie, after having a firsthand account of all the carnage that went down between Silvermane and his superpowered goons, would've built up enough rapport as a journalist that the citizens of New York City would trust him as a reputable source.
Will there be a Spider-Noir season 2?
Though the series has not yet been greenlit for a second season, it's being billed as "Spider-Noir season 1" rather than simply "Spider-Noir." And that tells us that the show was created with a second season in mind... though the ending does wrap things up quite nicely just in case the show was cancelled. The finale ends with a new era for everyone, including Ben and Janet, who are now partners in the detective business. We don't know who calls the office at the very end, but it's possible that a potential season 2 could pick up with that phone call and be the start of a new and exciting case.
