What's it all about?
Batman. It's a sequel to the rather good 2005 movie Batman Begins. It's directed again by Christopher Nolan and sees Christain Bale resume the role of Gotham's crime-fighting hard-man in a kick-ass costume. This time the cave-dwelling hero goes up against perennial nut job, The Joker.
Is it getting gamed-up?
Nothing has been announced, but it's Batman so a tie-in game is absolutely inevitable. There have been *rumours* linking Mercenaries and Destroy All Humans dev Pandemic with the project, but nothing has been confirmed. Yet.
Should you be excited?
The opportunity to play as Batman is always worth getting a little sweaty about. He's got gadgets, he does martial arts and he's got that whole 'don't mess with me' aloofness going on. Plus, The Dark Knight will also feature the perfect-for-gaming 'Batpod' - a fat-wheeled motorbike - and Joker's gang of villains, who look like they just walked off the Manhunt set. The Batman Begins movie tie-in was a decent effort, but there's plenty of room to improve things, regardless of who may be developing the game. Let's hope The Dark Knight lights us up.
