When we first saw Lollipop Chainsaw it was love at first sight. Not only does it have a cheerleader killing zombies, but rainbows and sparkles flow just as much as the blood does. When you take into account the game’s pedigree with it being overseen by Suda51 (No More Heroes, Shadows of the Damned) and Akira Yamaoka (Silent Hill), it’s hard not to be excited. We hadn’t seen much of it since our PAX preview, but with Halloween on everyone’s minds, we got a new trailer appropriately titled “Total Awesomness.” Watch…

This is the first time we’ve seen really seen backstory in the Lollipop footage, as we meet an old man known as Morikawa. He’s a sushi chef and karate master that seems to act as a sort of Yoda for hero Juliet, just more perverted that the green Muppet. Morikawa combines his karate and sushi talents to dice up the zombies infesting San Romero High School. Lollipop Chainsaw is scheduled to comme out some time next year.
