The Godzilla reboot is clearly aiming high with its casting choices, with Juliette Binoche the latest high-profile name to be linked to the project.
Variety reports that the Oscar-winning actress has entered talks to join the cast, although there are no details yet as to what kind of character she might be playing.
Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Bryan Cranston and Elizabeth Olsen are all thought to be confirmed for Gareth Edwards' franchise reboot, which should give the giant lizard plenty to keep himself busy with.
As for the plot, details remain sketchy, although its thought that the story will focus upon a soldier, while Godzilla may not be the only giant beastie to make his presence felt.
Frank Darabont is currently hard at work polishing the script ahead of production beginning later this month. Godzilla will open in the US on 16 May 2014.
