Puzzles can make you go insane. So it only stands to reason that solving puzzles will make you sane again. Pyschoban stars an insane asylum patient who just received some elective brain surgery and in order to test his mental prowess, or lack thereof, his doctors decide to make him travel from room to room, doing nothing but solving puzzles.

Each room features a number of blocks and a couple of green platforms. In order to move on to the next room you’ll need to push blocks onto all of the platforms. Sounds simple, but as you can probably guess, it gets progressively more difficult. It’s never fiendishly hard, but Psychoban is definitely challenging, especially towards the end. There are multiple height levels and you’ll need to use blocks to create bridges and staircases. It’s easy to get blocks stuck in a position you can’t move them out of, so thankfully the game features both an undo button and the ability to reset a room.

The puzzles are challenging and addictive, but unlike most puzzle games, Psychoban also features a dark sense of humor. The inmate will spout gibberish in between each room, while the doctor and his assistant discuss their disturbing experiments. There are 50 levels in all, which take place across five spooky, blood smeared insane asylums. For a game that’s based on logic, Psychoban sure is pretty crazy.
