Fable Anniversary delayed until 2014

Fable Anniversary, the HD remake of the original Fable, has been delayed until 2014. Developer Lionhead announced the news today, via its blog. Lead designer, Ted Timmins says "We’ve been working hard for the past year to bring you the very best Fable Anniversary experience on Xbox 360. We feel though, that we need a little more time in order to meet our ambitions and give you, the fans, the best game possible."

The game is looking great, and it comes with 1000G of Achievements to collect too--something that was lacking from the Xbox original. There's a new save system in place, and a brand new interface to make Fable feel like a properly modern game. Anniversary also includes the Lost Chapters, which was available as an add-on shortly after the original released back in 2003.

Timmins continues "I know I speak for everyone at Lionhead when I say that we can’t wait for you to see what we’ve been up to, and it gives us great pleasure to let you know that you can expect Fable Anniversary to be both on-shelves and online via the Xbox Games Store in February 2014."

Despite releasing Xbox One in November, Microsoft has pledged to support Xbox 360 for another three years. Fable Anniversary is definitely a part of that pledge.
