In issue 216 of Total Film magazine , The Lego Movie co-director Christopher Miller offers us an insight into how he's bringing Batman back to the big screen – in Lego form.
“Our vision of Batman is very aware that he's a wealthy millionaire on top of being a super-cool hero," Miller says.
"Will Arnett brings a lot to the character. The character is a little bit more egotistical and self-involved than other stuff we've seen him in. But in the end, he's still a hero and does the right thing and is a badass."
The director adds that he met with Zack Snyder to make sure there was no cross-over between The Lego Movie and Warner Bros' own DC properties.
"We sat down with Zack Snyder and his team about it," Miller reveals. "I said we're making our own universe and they have nothing to do with it."
The Lego Movie o pens in the UK on 14 February 2014.
