Ben Wheatley's A Field In England is a psychedelic Civil War story

Sightseers will soon be in British cinemas, and we urge you to go and see it, it's brilliant. And then as soon as the credits roll, go back to the front of the cinema and start queuing for A Field In England .

It's the title of Wheatley's next project, and it could be his best film yet.

Set during the English Civil War, A Field In England sounds like it'll combine Sightseers ' tramping-around-the-English-countryside plot with Kill List 's beautiful eeriness.

The story follows a bunch of treasure-hunting soldiers who desert their posts in the pursuit for gold, getting distracted along the way by some magic mushrooms that send them on a "psychedelic trip into magic and madness."

And if all that wasn't exciting enough, the cast features Kill List 's Michael Smiley, The League Of Gentlemen 's Reece Shearsmith and The Mighty Boosh 's Julian Barratt; mad geniuses to a man.

No word yet on when A Field In England will be released, but considering how quickly Wheatley shoots and releases his pictures, you probably won't be waiting in that queue for very long.
