Ubisoft has announced War World, a third-person shooter due for release sometime this summer on Xbox Live Arcade and PC. Looking somewhat like a tropical edition of Microsoft's own MechAssault games, it's staged on a planet created purely to host laser-riddled combat between stompy battle bots.

Previously released on PC in 2005, you'll get to choose between 10 differing Mechanoids, and clank your way through 100 single player stages or a multiplayer mode that can support up to eight. Once it's been released, however, we wouldn't be at all surprised to see it being announced for PSP...
