Today, SouthPeak Games have announced the games they will be showing at the Leipzig Games Convention this year (20-24th August, 2008). A wide range of games will be both demonstrated and available for hands-on play, across a range of platforms and genres. All the games showing will be releasing in 2008 or early 2009. SouthPeak Games has offered brief confirmation on Two Worlds: The Temptation, a full sequel to RPG Two Worlds. Shouldn't the sequel have been called Three Worlds? Ahem. Zuxxez's VP of Business Development Dirk Hassinger revealed in the official forums that Two Worlds: The Temptation does not re-used a single 3D object from the original, and that due to its many enhancements (new multiplayer netcode, new gfx & sound engine) The Temptation is not even compatible with the original. Therefore, it has to be considered a sequel, not an add-on. Two Worlds 2 just didn't sound right.
Set to arrive on Xbox 360 and Games for Windows, The Temptation will see Two Worlds' existing game universe expanding yet further thanks to the introduction of new game content, fresh features, extended gameplay, and answers to some of the questions and mysteries held over from the original game's narrative.
