The first downloadable content pack for Virtua Fighter 5 has just gone up on the Xbox Live Marketplace at 300 MS Points.

Major Nelson just updated his blog with the message that a playable demo of Virtua Fighter 5 has arrived on Xbox Live Marketplace worldwide. The game has been available on Playstation 3 since launch but SEGA decided to bring the game on Xbox 360 as well, as the sales of the Playstation 3 version disappointed. The Xbox 360 version now even features online multiplayer!
SEGA announced today that Virtua Fighter 5, the latest installment in its premier fighting series seen previously on the PlayStation 3, has gone gold for the Xbox 360.
A new magazine ad for Virtua Fighter 5 makes the differences between the two versions of the game (PS3 and Xbox360) very clear, stating that the Xbox360 version is "NOW ONLINE", but the PS3 version "Does Not Include Online Play." This promotes purchase on one console only...interesting advertising.
Xbox 360 owners rejoiced when Sega and AM2 announced that their version of Virtua Fighter 5 would incorporate long desired online multiplayer features, but PlayStation 3 gamers who'd picked up the game earlier in the year felt left in the cold. Eurogamer has learned that the Xbox 360 version of Virtua Fighter 5 may not be released in Japan due to the console's low installed base.
New to the Microsoft Xbox 360 version, Virtua Fighter 5 will be based on the most current arcade game update and feature both analog stick and D-pad control, as well as vibration support. Arcade Mode will now include online leaderboards that will allow you to compare your single-player fighting prowess with people all over the world. You'll also be able to download arcade matches and learn the techniques of the top players on the leaderboard.
