GamingShogun writes, "Square Enix, Ltd. has released pre-order details for The Last Remnant, due out November 20th. Pre-ordering customers will receive three unlockable formations to use in battle..."
Square Enix has revealed that whoever pre-orders The Last Remnant's Xbox 360 version in Japan will receive a DVD called SQUARE ENIX x Xbox 360 TRAILER COLLECTIONS. The DVD includes around 30 trailers and TV commercials of Star Ocean: The Last Hope, The Last Remnant and Infinite Undiscovery in both Japanese and English.
Forget everything you may or may not know about Square Enix's The Last Remnant. Forget about how it's the latest and greatest 360 RPG from Japan, and how it uses Unreal Engine 3 for its graphics, and how it's coming out in about a month (PS3 owners will have to wait longer). No, the real story behind this game, the one that has been dreadfully underreported on so far, is that you use this mole-like thing to help you dig for weapon-building material. Look out, Western developers!
The achievements for the upcoming Square Enix RPG, The Last Remnant, have been revealed by Xbox360achievements.org. The game will feature 22 achievements for the full 1000 points, and should be quite interesting, as even the achievements that aren't secret are secret in themselves. For example, one of the achievements reads "Do you want a challenge? Defeat the monster that appears from a certain quest." On top of these achievements, there are also five actual secret achievements, two of which are 200 points apiece. For the full list of achievements, hit the jump below.
With so much buzz happening around this years TGS, XboxOZ360-Gamer takes a look at the yearly convention, but not from the typical angle.
The Last Remnant is all about firsts. It's the first title that Square Enix has made using the Unreal Engine 3, and the first title that Square Enix has used actual foreigners during the game's motion capture - a move, according to art director Yusuke Naora "totally changed our way of thinking about the project".
Siliconera said: "Like Infinite Undiscovery before it, Square Enix has plans to release downloadable content for the Last Remnant. If you pre-order the game you will get a download code for the March to War Set, a package of three rare battle formations."
Issue 23 of 360Zine is now available for free download from GamerZines.com, the portal for free digital magazines for gamers. It includes an exclusive hands-on preview of Gears of War 2, along with confirmation of an upcoming digital magazine dedicated to the game.
The Last Remnant is going to be released very soon (56 days, to be exact) for the Xbox 360, and Square Enix has finally decided it's time for us to know how the game is actually played. The company has released 70 screenshots, a lot of artwork and a short description of how the battle system works.
