The current top rated Ikaruga Xbox Live Arcade player has directed a white and black laser beam of hate at the Treasure remake, calling the Arcade version "a horrible port".
The Japanese player, Gamertag Kingoro58k, put up with the port long enough to get to the number one slot, but writes on his Gamertag bio (in Japanese): "The XBLA version of Ikaruga is a horrible port. This isn't Ikaruga, this is Ikaruga LOL."

DarkZero Writes: "Early morning at DZ Tower's and we were just checking on XBLA to see if Ikaruga appeared yet, and it seems it has, with the download weighing in at 49.39MB.
Microsoft today announced that Treasure's arcade shooter Ikaruga is slated for a release this Wednesday on April 9, as was listed on Xbox Japan last month.
VG247: According to Treasure's site, Ikaruga's going to be published on XBLA this Wednesday. If you don't know, this means you should definitely buy it, although we say that with some caveats after the fiasco that was Mr Driller Online. Still, great news.
