| The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
Bethesda Softworks sent over a note announced they will release their last downloadable content extra for 2006's fantasy RPG The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. The download, titled Fighter's Stronghold, will launch on Oct. 15 for both the PC and Xbox 360 versions and for the first week will be free to download.
On the Bethsoft blog site, PR head Pete Hines talks about the possible way they will bring the downloadable content to the PS3 version:
"Since we're talking about DLC, I thought I'd update you with what's going on with the PS3 version of Oblivion. We are close, very close to working something out to bring Shivering Isles to PS3 owners. That may be in downloadable form via PSN, or as a standalone retail disc, or both. I can't say definitively yet that it will happen, and I definitely can't say when. But it's looking good, and hopefully we'll have good news soon."

Bethesda has released information on several upcoming products which will be available on store shelves this week. The Japanese will get the PlayStation 3 version of Oblivion, the Xbox 360 version was released several months ago and has been reported to be selling well so they hope the PS3 version will do the same.» Read More

For the people who aren't connected to Xbox Live, here's some good news: Bethesda Softworks announced today that it will release The Elder Scrolls IV: Shivering Isles for the Xbox 360 at retail.
Due out this October, Shivering Isles is the award-winning expansion to the 2006 Game of the Year, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. The retail disc will also include downloadable content from Knights of the Nine.

| The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
After Blue Dragon and Eternal Sonata, it seems another 360 RPG, Oblivion, is causing a bit of a stir in Japan.
Spike, who had secured the Japanese publishing rights to Bethesda's RPG epic, has announced that some 35,000 copies of Oblivion were sold when it went on sale yesterday ¿ which considering how roundly unpopular the 360 is over there, isn't too shabby.

The friendly people over at Bethesda Softworks and Ubisoft have given us three large Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion T-Shirts to giveaway in a competition...
Due to shipping restraints, this competition will only be available to UK-based readers. However, don't feel left out as our next competition will feature worldwide prize distribution.
