The titular South Central is a sizeable 1/3 of the overall map from Midnight Club L.A. and provides four new areas - including Crenshaw and Compton - to race around. And it won't cost you a penny to unlock. From our hands-on time it seems the chaotic grid system and maze-like residential zones mean you'll be skidding through sharp turns and dashing through tons of intricate back-alley shortcuts. Our favourite bit is the huge ramp inside the USC Trojan's football stadium that you can use to glide over the traffic below.

The breakdown of these are 26 epic races that take in the South Central area as well as the rest of L.A. and 100+ Red Light races. There are also 10 new delivery missions included where you have to take an exotic car to a specific location without smashing it up and 12 new battle maps to




This is where your 800 Microsoft Points are being spent. This premium car park reintroduces SUVs to the series which were suspiciously missing from MC:LA but the private school shuttles are back. Gas-guzzling Range Rover Sports are handy for nudging a rival into a lamppost since they’re heavy like tanks. And there’s even a fancy 2008 Mercedes CLK63 AMG to tear it up in too. Plus, with the addition of hydraulics (and airbags, oddly) you can turn cars such as the 1965 Chevy Malibu into a bouncing P.I.M.P mobile.

There's a whole host of new rims, body kits and vinyl sets for you to plug onto the new vehicles that come in the premium pack. The hydraulic suspensions that you can install allow you to tilt or bunny-hop your car with the triggers or bumpers.
