Chromehounds Hints

Hint - Leg Up Training

You can quit story mode anytime. Participate in each story's tutorial to get a feel for each Role Type (or RT). If you do well, you also unlock the basic parts (bodies, legs, generators, and support) for those RTs as well so can start designing your own Hound.

Hint - Unlockables By Rank

Get an A rank on any offline story mission for an unlockable part. Get an S Rank in any offline story mission for either more parts or the S rank award. Note that a Hound that mixes RTs (soldier-sniper-defender) is better suited for early missions while a commander-heavy gunner is better for some other missions.

HOUND and ACV Possibilities

Look out for certain HOUNDs and ACVs:

ACVs:

Soldier - 2 machine guns, 1 HEAT Rocket, two-legged body
Sniper - 2 sniper rifles, 1 sniper cannon, tall four legged body
Defender - 2 shotguns, 1 rocket launcher, large four legged body

Scout - 2 machine guns, hover chassis
Heavy Gunner - Same body as defender, but 2 howitzers instead
Commander - Small Hummer-like body, NA Maker, no weapons

HOUNDs:

Carlos Nadal - Small less-durable cockpit, 2 generators, two legged chassis, 3 machine guns, 2 sniper rifles, night-vision sensor
Edgardo Gilardino - Treaded Chassis, 3 machine guns, 3 shotguns, 3 rocket launchers, large cockpit
Oscar Redmond - Multi-legged chassis, 3 sniper cannons, 2 sniper rifles, small NA Maker, small cockpit

All 3 of these HOUNDs have black and dark blue camo's. ACV camo's may vary, depending on the nation.
