If you've been following the recent Ashes test you'll be in need of positive cricket news and so should be eager to see the latest shots of Brian Lara International Cricket 2007, which is heading online for its release next year.
The latest in the long running sports series aims to break new ground by providing extensive online play for both the PC and Xbox 360 version, although the PS2 version only supports multiplayer for up to four offline players.
Online there will be several multiplayer tournaments such as the ICC World Cup 2007 and ICC Champions Trophy 2006, or leagues can be established. These tournaments will be open for up to 16 players to gets involved and there's even an option for up to eight players to watch as matches unfold.

The Xbox Live headset lets you sledge your opponents which we're sure will remain good natured banter, just like it is in the professional game. Also for the 360 version, gamers can earn achievements points for scoring centuries, compiling excellent bowling figures or winning a match on every ground featured in the game.
Brian Lara 2007 features commentary from such sporting and broadcasting legends as Tony Greig, Jonathan Agnew and David Gower, as well as real statistics from Wisden and the Hawk-Eye analysis system
Let's just hope that by the time it is released in March of next year England can still be referred to as Ashes winners.
