What new game are you most looking forward to - Uncharted 3, Skyrim, Super Mario 3D Land...?

If you're a gamer, the GamesMaster Golden Joystick Awards need no introduction. Which is great for us because it means we can skip the bit about them being the only gaming awards that matter because they're the only gaming awards that are voted for by gamers.

To get everyone feeling sexy and in the mood for the awards, over the last couple of weeks we've been highlighting each of the categories in turn. And now we've reached the final two. These are the giants. The colossus categories that tower over all the rest. Today we're looking with almost uncontainable excitement at the Ultimate Game of the Year and One To Watch categories.

Category: One To Watch

Who are we voting for?

Cundy: "Agent. I am not over encumbered with knowledge about this game. But it's being developed by Rockstar North, which reassures me that whatever Agent turns out to be, it'll be of a high standard. All the other games in this category? Let's face it, we know what we'll be getting. That's why I'll be keeping my ocular balls on Agent the closest."

Dave: "BioShock Infinite. I've made no secret of the fact that I'm not the biggest fan of BioShock 2, but this looks like exactly what I've always felt a true follow-up to Irrational's masterpiece should be. Big, clever, beautiful sweeping, affecting. It looks like it has all a game needs to make me a very happy man."

Nathan: "Agent. Rockstar are famed for being mysterious but they’re being particularly cagey with Agent, which means either a) it’s rubbish or b) it’s AMAZING. I’m leaning towards the latter."

Justin: "Has to be Skyrim. I know there are folks that say it’s Bethesda, so it’ll be full of bugs and crap AI, but I don’t believe a word of it. This is going to be the best RPG ever made. And I’ll set my pet dragon on anyone who says otherwise."

Category: Ultimate Game of the Year

Who are we voting for?

Cundy: "Portal 2. Towards the end the relentless waffle from GLaDOS and Wheatley started to get right on my tit-nipples. But it's full of joyous eureka moments and is by far one of the most convincing and complete game worlds ever devised. Still don't think it's as strong as the original though."

Dave: "Portal 2 just edges out Bulletstorm for me. A large part of me wants to give this to People Can Fly and Epic's deceptively intelligent stormer, but Valve's narrative nuance, beautiful script, inspired world-creation and downright stunning game design mean that I can't give this to any other game than Portal 2."

Nathan: "Portal 2. As a complete package, Portal 2 ticks every box. It’s packed with laughs and gameplay that makes you feel clever even if, like me, you’re a bit dim. Well done, Valve."

Justin: "In all seriousness, I voted for Super Street Fighter IV: 3D edition on 3DS. I’ve sunk 35 hours into it so far, mostly online as Sakura. After finding the ‘3D off’ menu option that makes it run at 60 gorgeous frames every second, I was absolutely hooked on this. It’s incredible. I also liked the StreetPass features too."
