It seems that Nathan Drake's impressive new-gen mug will start sweating and bleeding all over your PS4 by March 31, 2016. That's according to new financial documents from Sony, which include Uncharted 4: A Thief's End in a slide detailing its Fiscal Year 2015 strategy.
Sony's 2015 fiscal year will end on March 31, 2016, so unless the company just decided to include an Uncharted 4 box with its grand vision for the rest of the (fiscal) year for fun, the supposed final chapter of Drake's globetrotting journey will arrive by then. Still, I've asked Sony to confirm and will update this story with any response.
Uncharted 4 was originally planned for release in real-calendar 2015, though Naughty Dog revealed in March that it had been pushed back to Spring 2016: "Since we showed you our first gameplay reveal of Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, more of the game and story have come together," directors Bruce Straley and Neil Druckmann said at the time, "and it’s become clear to us that this game is much more ambitious than we originally envisioned."
The new window implied in the investor materials narrows that down a bit to "early spring," which is the good kind of revision. The financial presentation also confirmed that Sony still plans to launch Morpheus, PS4's virtual reality headset, in 2016.
Sounds like it's going to be a good year to own a PS4.
