Why you can trust GamesRadar+
Theo (Ryan Reynolds) is a snail, and he has a snail’s job – crawling around on a tomato plant all day. He’s not enthralled with this set up, and at night he dreams of being a race-car driver.
One day, after accidentally getting sucked into the carburettor of a street racer, Theo suddenly becomes the world’s fastest snail. Which is still probably too slow to win any races, but it’s a good start.
Paul Giamatti shines as Theo’s pessimistic brother Chet, and the uplifting message never smashes you over the head.
