When I was a kid and my brother and I played split screen games, we would tape cardboard to the screen and make a divider to eliminate screen looking. It was amazing.

I am surprise MOBA games in general aren't added in here. Competition brings out the worst in some people including me...

Why is the Mass Effect trilogy not in this? In the first one you had to choose between Ashley or Maiden which was a very hard decision to make. All the other ones were ridiculous with choices to.

Because its about real friends, as in online friends, co-op, not friends that are NPC

WHERE is Dokapon Kingdom? Much, much more violence has arisen from Dokapon Kingdom than all of these other games combined. It actually says "The Friendship Drstroying Game" on the box, and IT DOES NOT LIE!

I feel that Minecraft & Garrys Mod should also be up on this list..

Left 4 Dead - I thought I was always the light-hearted non-sore loser type .. until this game .. I can not emphasize enough how my blood boiled when my partner Left me 4 Dead!! It's really funny though .. a few days later ..

Dokapon Kingdom for the Wii and PS2 I can not stress how much this game will start fights. The game is marketed as "The Friendship Destroying Game". Look that game up. Trust me, it makes Mario Party seem tame in comparison.

Who cares bout friendship in games it means nothing , Afterall it is only a game and you do what you must by any means to get ahead.

You know what the first game that came to mind for me was? Bomberman64. Bomberman STILL doesn't get the credit he's due. SMH.

God damn Mario Party, it is all god damn luck. Makes me so angry yet it is so much fun.

I once had a friend shoot me right in the face and leaving me to die as I was about to get in the chopper in the last stage of the Dark Carnival on L4D2. Like, two meters away from the chopper. He wasn't even trying to recreate the TWD scene or anything like that, he was inside the freaking chopper, completely safe. And he shot me. In my fucking face. With a shotgun. After killing every hunter and smoker, avoid getting smashed by the tank, after recovering from a fly around the stage because the charger hit me, I get killed because of one click from that motherfucker... Sigh... However the rage I got from that doesn't even compare to playing a Mario Party match. That's just sick.

Assassins creed Wolf Pack. You and some friends are walking up to your locked on, respective targets, patiently waiting as your approach meter climbs to godlike scores, You merge into the crowd for the multiplier, take the time to focus on your target for the point boost. THEN HERE COMES DOUCHEY MCDOUCHEBAG! Running like a headless chicken, ploughing through crowds and grabs your kill. YOUR KILL. The one you were so patient in maximizing the potential profit. Did he not see the lock on symbol above his head, HOW COULD HE NOT HAVE KNOWN!? Now your 1400 point kill has been taken away from you, the rest of the targets flee and you're left running after them for a measly 100 point kill. And this goes on for the entire match. All so he can get 100 points. And now douchey mcdouchebag is no longer your friend, he is the bane of your existance and you will not stop until his sins are punished. And when those synchkills come around... I dont even want to think about that.

L4D2 co-op is great fun with the right people. Playing through as many maps while toasting (cheers-ing?) your buddies @ every safe room is a sure way for everyone to get buzzed and enjoy the game. Yet, to this day, I still refuse to play VS. People take that shit WAY too seriously.

The main picture of this article can be found at http://www.myextralife.com/comic/blue-prophecy/ Blue Prophecy was drawn by Scott Johnson 2012 Nice list, but I think updating it with a few modern ones like Spelunky would fit better. That is the only game I have had to separate my boys while playing.

They changed the pic . Oh well, this one is ok I guess.
  • GR HollanderCooper - December 17, 2013 12:11 p.m.

Yeah, I just finished talking with Scott. He's super cool!
  • jakalair - December 17, 2013 12:21 p.m.

That he is. I wish I could remember the podcast he did where he just talked trash about the blue shell for about 5 minutes straight during his discussion of Mario Kart. That shell has plagued more than one gamers dreams.

    *cries*

The ultimate test of friendship is Mario Kart 64, Wario Stadium, Lap 3. Your friend gets a lightning bolt just as you are making the turn into the jump. You're climbing the ramp, and you see the lightning bolt just sitting there in his item box. We've all seen what happens next.
