One corporation rules the world. Just like in Advanced Warfare! I'll bet that Nintendo's next game will be called Pokemon: Atlas Version and you will have to take down Irons and his troops in Pokemon Battles. Manticore could be a type of genetically-engineered Pokemon that only attacks those who are not registered with Atlas. ...Come to think of it, that would explain the lack of males due to war, too...

What if dr fuji, 1 of the scientists behind the creation of mewtwo, being at lavender town was NO accident, what if he read up the research on mega evolution & if his possesion charizardite x was no accident, maybe he tried to make mewtwo have 2 mega evolutions like charizard & if the mewtwo in the movie legends awakened is anything to go by, they would mega evolve without needing a human to be right by it, going back to lavender town, so apparently to artificially create mega stones, you would first need a graveyard, lavender town: check, also you would need somewhere to fire a big frikking cannon at with dna samples of the pokemon you want to mega evolve, why not orre where there is absolutely little life there, now you would someone to go there unnoticed and collect the mega stones, like another scientist hired by team rocket, who is also a gym leader, yep they got 1 by the name of blaine, I mean this theory makes team rocket MORE evil, but also much scarier

Dont forget Shedinja. Look at the hole on its back and your soul gets sucked in.

Fun fact for the eating Pokemon entry. Pokemon is a Japanese game/tv series. There's a highly popular treat in Japan called "taiyaki". It's basically a fish-shaped pastry made in a mold, like you would with a waffle, and filled with cream or other sweet fillings. So what appears to be the remnants of some poor magicarp in that picture is actually anything but. :)

Perhaps someone with more Pokemon knowledge than me could answer this: If Mewtwo is a (failed) clone of Mew, why is Mewtwo #150 while Mew is #151?
  • jacob-stan-blazkowicz-venable - October 28, 2013 8:06 a.m.

Because Mew was thought to be extinct. All they ever found of Mew were fossils. So, before Mewtwo was created, there were only 149 Pokemon known. So Mewtwo was created, thus becoming #150. It wasn't until after his creation that a living Mew was discovered, thus becoming #151. Here's a real nutbuster: Dittos are quite possibly corrupted Mews. Only two Pokemon can naturally use Transform; Mew and Ditto. They both are similar in color, both normal and shiny. They are roughly the same size and same weight. How Mews became Ditto, there are two theories to this. The first is Ditto came about through failed attempts at cloning Mew. The second is past Mews transformed so much that down the line, they forgot their original form. Have fun with that one. =)

I think it has to do with Mewtwo being introduced before Mew. It's not known that Mewtwo is a clone of Mew until the first Pokemon movie, and Mew comes in near the end of it. Also, Mewtwo is obtainable in Pokemon Red and Blue, while Mew requires the use of glitches to get, which may help explain things. There were supposed to be only 150 Pokemon, after all.

Someone didn't explore in Pokemon Red/Blue/Yellow. It clearly says in the journal of the scientist who helped create Mewtwo that Mewtwo was a product of Mew. This journal is of course found in the abandoned Pokemon Mansion on Cinnabar Island.

I'm surprised you didn't mention the fact that the children don't attend school, or the fact that they have no discernible military. Or the fact that, for every town, there is a poke'center, but rarely a hospital or doctor's office for humans. Or that if pokemon chose to turn on the human race, it would be a mass genocide of epic proportions. Or the fact that there appears to be no established government, and the only person they have to enforce the law is a couple women police officers in every town.

Well actually kids do go to school, and your trainer in the game probably did too but thats never in the game because its too boring, nobody wants to spend time growing up! you notice there are trainer schools, and kids younger than your character who always say something about school, because thats all they do, their pokemon belong to their parents and they dont actually have their own untill the graduate the pokeschool (probably at 9 or so) and get their first pokemon on their tenth birthday. (Then they appearently live forever if were to use ash as an example)
  • sebastian-askew - May 28, 2014 8:11 a.m.

There actually is a pokemon school. there are multiple.

Can somebody help me out? The "Next" links aren't working for me. When I hover over them I can see they say "javascript:;" but they don't send me anywhere. I've tried to do it in both IE and Firefox and on different lists on this site but they won't work :(.

what i dont get is that ghost exist cause the person died horrifically in life, are all ghost pokemon at some point an actual person who died violently which would make sense if a majority of the people died during some kind of war or murdered or suicide like in the real world which would make this a much darker world then they make it seem or do the pokemon in this world also have souls and if thats the case how come those ghost look nothing like the other pokemon that exist in the world which brings me to my next question if they are truly ghost how come they can be captured and told what to do and also not always but a good amount of the times theyre a couple together, so are these ghost pokemon aware of eachother and the fact that they are ghost or do they think theyre alive? do they think that they are pokemon? the ghost that carries his face and cries about it is obviously aware that something bad happened hence why he cries or did the person who made the pokedex assume its crying about the face underneath it or did that ghost tell said person why they cry i dont know but the more you think about it the more you realize that nothing is really meant for kids all they see is color and cute animal like things
  • UltimateDillon - October 12, 2012 6:04 a.m.

There are animals in the first series. I can't remember seeing many but there definitely were but the show would be a lot more boring if you had to watch the main characters hunt, cook and eat. Also, does Missingno actually exist or is it just a myth or glitch?
  • KillerSpace2628 - November 3, 2012 3:57 p.m.

There are animals in the snows, but not in the games. Missingno is as real as all the other Pokèmon in the game, and it's a glitch. You can only catch it in Gen I (First games) to the extent of my knowledge, and not any others. Hope this helps, :)
  • ChaosEternal - August 4, 2012 2:37 p.m.

Actually, there were normal animals shown on occasion, though only very early in the series. They haven't been seen or referenced since 2002 according to the link. Here: Most noteable may be the fish in the Cerulean Gym, as they are specifically shown. Other animals have been referenced a few times. Read the link, it details it all. Hope someone finds it informative! :D

I was just thinking of that gym as an example, lol.
  • james-duval - May 14, 2012 5:52 a.m.

Aha, the missingno entry made me lose my shit. Nice one.
