Tony Hawk's Pro Skater HD gameplay - Quickplay

First thing's first: yes, this game's soundtrack does include "Superman" by Goldfinger. Feel free to breath a collective sigh of relief, then check out our playthrough of the many multiplayer modes in Tony Hawk's Pro Skater HD, a refurbished revival of levels and skaters from THPS 1 and 2. We'd blame the 360 controller's crazy d-pad for our numerous wipeouts - but truth be told, there are no valid excuses for this many instances of eating pavement. Also, we accidentally caused Tony Hawk to be beheaded, after his noggin reached critical mass and exploded. See for yourself:

Xbox owners can play THPS HD on July 18th; PSN should have the game shortly thereafter. Check back for our review when the game's released to see if Tony's still got it after all these years.

I really wish they would have create-a-skater, but otherwise I'm having lots of fun! The first 2 Tony Hawk games were the best in the series history (in relation to their era) so playing them again with sharper graphics has been a nice trip down memory lane. I'm kind of a sucker for the orignal's gameplay style, too. I also like how they included some of the songs from the original version (like the essential Public Enemy jam "Bring the Noise" and "You" by Bad Religion), but also bolstered it with some new tracks, my favorite of which are "The Bomb" by Pigeon John, Flyentolgy by El-P and Trent Reznor, and "We the People" by Lateef the Truthspeaker.

This.. Looks kind of bad. I mean, sure, it will be buckets of fun, but there are a bunch of little things that concern me. The constant clipping when doing grinds is one. I hope that this is an early demo and they fix those by release time.

I need this and Retrocity Rampage.. like yesterday. That being said, this video is super painful to watch because this dude is just.. total garbage. Its like he never picked up a THPS before in his life.

He was trying to play with a 360 d-pad.

I'm very excited for this game. Except... why did they set some locations at night time when they were set in the day in the previous games? They missed out on some beautiful environment lighting opportunities. I hope they release a PC version so that someone can mod the levels so that they're set at daytime.

They should of just left it alone...... Passed 3 tony hawk games were complete and utter bullshit and it looks like the HD remake is more like a WIImake.....and dvd's...instead of tapes.....? Should of just made a brand new ground up pro skater imo..... ill give the demo a go but yeah this just dissapointed my july forcast of video games to buy. Oh well more money in the bank lol..

I'm glad they're doing this, it's the old school THPS, they're not adding or removing any gameplay elements (Besides Multiplayer), just revamping the graphics. Besides it's only $15! I'd buy the old school THPS for that man! Also, what's a WIImake? A Wii pun? Lame. Lol

Is it just me who after watching this video kind of sees the game as sketchy? It just didn't look right at all..... Could be that oldschool arcade feel....or it could be somethign else.... i dont know im hopign there is a demo for this witch there hould be before i buy this..... just because of this video.....

I'm guessing it's because the increased draw distance and higher-poly models make the physics look a bit weird. But they look very faithful if you look at a comparison between old THPS and the new.

I think the only real question here is obvious: Did they bring back Goldfinger's "Superman"?

"Xbox owners can play THPS HD on June 18th; PSN should have the game shortly thereafter." Shouldn't that be July 18th?
