Tony Hawk to ride in “Sonic Generations of Skate” tournament

Tony Hawk will be one of twelve pro skaters competing at Sega’s Sonic Generations of Skate event on October 22 in Venice Beach, California. The competition is Sega’s way of promoting its upcoming Sonic Generations title while celebrating the super fast hedgehog’s 20th anniversary with three generations of pro skaters competing for cash prizes in various half-pipe events.

In addition to Tony Hawk, attendees will be able to witness the vertical prowess of pro skaters you may recognize from previous Tony Hawk games, including Andy Macdonald, Lincoln Ueda, Pierre Luc Gagnon, and Steve Caballero.

Unfortunately, tickets for the upcoming one-day event have already sold out. But don't panic! The Sonic-themed skate tournament is scheduled to air on FOX Sports Network on Friday, November 25.

OH I GET IT! it's because skating lived and died out like Sonic did at around the same time... IT ALL MAKES SENSE NOW.

People still skate, ya chucklehead. Not sure where you're getting these ideas from.

Oh thank god I was wrong. I thought Tony Hawk was gonna have a cameo in the game.
