I liked it although the game was too short it was really fun it was cool to pick some dude up then impale him with your sword then throw him to some explosive and watch him yell for help but still its not bad its just short

gr8 game for a start wars fan and the plot is unbeatable but i agree it has sum major flaws and it is way to freking easy to be knocked off a platform! 8/10 from me

First impression – I was admittedly worried after the demo that the graphics in this game would not be up to sniff with the hype from the LucasArts. I am pleased to say the games graphics and general play are superior to the demo. Big load off there for me because I did not see that much of an improvement in the demo to other games and also pleased that the demo is a bit dumbed down for achievements. I really enjoyed the game and LOVED the story. But walked away from the game feeling just like I did after the Republic Commando game, wowed but unfulfilled. That in such a short game you have to revisit some to the worlds to complete missions is a lack of vision on the LucasArts part. The graphics in the areas away from game itself are very simple looking; it reminded me of a 90’s quality. The game that took a whole year extra to bring out but still froze three times in big action moves and I got stuck two times in scenery. I can now see why Lucas fired two thirds of LucasArts staff before this game came out. Over all I give the game an 8 out of 10. A must play game but if you are not like me and need a copy for you collection to Star Wars games, RENT IT. If you can not beat this game two times over a weekend then you need a new hobby.

I don't agree with most of you the game is not repetitive at all it is a ton of fun

@ Z-man427 good, almost apropos quote, except for the fact that Dooku said that like 2 minutes before he got his hands and head cut off. Which makes me think, even in Jedi Knight II, you could cut off hands every so often, even without the entering the cheat code. Anakin is basically a stump at the end of EP3, and every lightsaber battle in the movies has limbs flying off, so why does the Force Unleashed make it feel like you're waving around a glow stick at a rave? Especially in the Xbox demo, when you just stand there and block blaster bolts. Maybe I'm playing the Force Unleashed wrong; maybe if I take some illicit substances and pump up some bass heavy club music, I'll think FU is the best game in the world.

I have the Wii version, looks like crap. I'm starting to think that Sony is purposefully keeping the PS2 alive and PSP just so that developers will port over weak graphics and hasty waggle controls to the Wii. (Though, to be fair, the waggle controls are pretty decent on Force Unleashed) Because the Wii version looks like shit. I put in Rogue Squadron 2 and 3 for the Gamecube, and BOTH those games look better than this PSP build ported to the Wii. It's really disappointing because the Wii isn't totally next gen, but it's capable of so much more. Also, repetitive waggle controls become more repetitive than repetitive button mashing. I think a No More Hereos style of gameplay would have been more fun. Playing it just makes me want to go back to Jedi Knight II. Still, can anyone compare the two builds for me? (Next gen Unleashed and PSP/Wii/PS2 Unleashed)I've heard that level design for the Wii/PS2/PSP version is a little better, and less bland, even though it obviously doesn't look as good. Force Unleashed, or FU, if you will. Ironic, because I really kinda feel like it is an "FU" to the fans. I wonder how much better it would have been if they hadn't fired the dev team right before launch.

    It was inevitable.
  • georgeguy - September 17, 2008 8:14 p.m.

thought this game was going to be one of those, best sellers! or sold out! ones too bad
  • Z-man427 - September 17, 2008 7:54 a.m.

How did I know this wouldn't muster more than a 7? because it was overhyped. the more anticipation, the more let down it's like Count Dooku said in Episode III "Twice the pride, double the fall."

I think you guys have the right idea, a fine rental but not worth my all too scarce cash. I played the demo and felt incredibly bored, but am really looking forward to the story.

I already bought it and it's not that repetitive. It's also great fun to pick up a stormtrooper, shock him, and fling him across the map at more stormtroopers. I give it and 8.5 to a 9

I remember playing the demo, not liking it at all, promising myself that it was just an early build. Then I realized the game was coming out just a month after the demo was released... I'm a sucker for Star Wars though, so whatever, I'll rent it probably.
  • MW3M - September 16, 2008 9:37 p.m.

I had a suspicion this game would be repetitive. I think this is a rental, just for the plot and to see the physics engine in action.. One question though... Is dismember a feature in this game?

  • Chudfiend - March 25, 2009 2:08 a.m.

I like how they made something as badass as pulling a star destroyer out of the sky with the force one of the most non fun things i've ever had to do in over 20 years of playing video games.
  • wills4295 - January 11, 2009 3:33 p.m.

This game is pretty good. a little repition but still good. I give it a 9.5
  • AriesHellstormm - June 14, 2009 3:25 a.m.

Come People it is a good game in and of itself and gives us a better story than most of the Clone Wars cartoon does sorry the Clone wars has driven me batty with all the repeats there is only one thing missing from this story is to have like the ps2 an entire Jedi Temple storyline we don't often get the temple in ruins in games
