Saints Row IV art hails to the boss

The Boss, Pierce, Shaundi, and Kinzie looking official

Saints Row IV is getting presidential in August. The next open-world game from Volition (now a Deep Silver studio) won't be too much of a diversion from the last game--you're still the boss of the Third Street Saints, and at least some of your time will be spent running amok in the streets of Steelport. Also, you're president.

This "Washington Crossing the Delaware" parody posted to the Saints Row Facebook page indicates players will engage in some good old Jeffersonian democracy and keep the Saints close at hand throughout their administration. We'd put Pierce up there as Secretary of the Treasury, Shaundi as Secretary of State, and Kinzie as Secretary of Homeland Security, but that's just us.

That leaves plenty of room in the Cabinet for Vice President Johnny Gat Bobblehead, and whoever those two characters in the upper right are. Check out the debut trailer if you're still wrapping your head around your upcoming superpowered presidential term on PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360.

Well if Shaundi is still alive we now know which ending to SR:3 they're using for the game

Love it! Hopefully they'll bring back Johnny Gat as a zombie because who cares about reality, it's freaking Saints Row. That'd be kinda cool, a pet zombie they all treat with respect and such? I think that'd be funny. Deep Silver, hire me.

This artwork is so American that if they added a bald eagle sitting on the boss' hand and a fat redneck driving the car the world would probably explode from the level of pure concentrated 'murrica.

Jesus Christ, they could not have missed the point any more. This isn't Saints Row anymore. I'm sure the game will be quite fun, but it's no longer the series most of us fell in love with.

Myself and many others love the changes Volition made for SR2 and after the insanity of SRTT why make another GTA clone that when you can fly through the air smacking hot dog men

You make a fair point. And as I said I'm sure it will be a streaking, dildo bat waving, pedestrian surfing good time. But, SR 1 & 2 were the last bastions for a quality "GTA" game not made by Rockstar. Now this it's become Just Cause with prostitutes.

I'm really hoping they're great about clothes again and put in founding father clothes so I can kick alien ass as a superpowered washington skydiving into enemy territory with my penetrator

Pierce is still right? Uh why am I the only one that likes him.

Could Johnny Gat still be alive and kicking (ass) in a virtual recreation of Steelport?

Hippy — smoking weed Shaundi — was a better character then the one in SR:3
  • Sinosaur - March 20, 2013 11:17 a.m.

She changed from weed to cocaine or something. But, yeah, when I first played Saints Row the Third, I had no clue who she was... and didn't believe it when I found out.

I agree. Stoner Shaundi was great, but her character direction in SR3 was just "ANGRY."
  • shawksta - March 20, 2013 2:01 p.m.

I agree, who knows, maybe they'll bring her back or atleast a side of her in this game
  • LordzOfChaos - March 21, 2013 2:45 p.m.

SR:3 is the only one of the games I played, and I find it hard to imagine that Shaundi could be a stoner. She was such a B***H in SR:3
