Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters

Also known as: R&C: Size Matters,Ratchet and Clank: Size Matters

The title's wrong - this actioner is every bit as hot as its full-sized predecessors

Okay, so we all know the PSP is where shoddy ports reside, but there are the occasional standouts: Daxter, the two GTAs... and now Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters.

Overall, we think that too many PS2-alike games are making it tough to compete with the more creative DS lineup. And Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters is the exception that proves the rule. It faithfully, expertly reproduces the classic Ratchet & Clank formula - lots of sci-fi blasteration starring a space-cat, his robot buddy (who has his own robot buddies) and about 25 different weapons - while presenting an all-new adventure (micro-sized bad guys are causing major trouble) and retooling and reworking it for the PSP.

Sadly, not everything made the cut - the 2D Captain Quark levels and the spherical worlds from Ratchet & Clank: Up Your Arsenal are nowhere to be found. But there are a few new features, like being able to wear piecemeal armor: you can now mix and match helmets, gloves, body armor, and boots.
