I think they changed the art style a bit too much. Makes everyone younger. But I don't watch it anymore. Oh well. Pokemon of the week: The ultimate Player Ditto! He can do everyone! Cant you breed two dittos together to get a ditto? You could in the first silver, at least I did. Remember you can breed female starers with others with the same egg type! My only nicknames pokemon is my ninetales. Because I love it. I have a legal shinny legendary (palkia), from the Japanese Pearl I imported. Used my master ball in that game on it. I also had a legal flashy celebi in my old silver, to bad the battery died and deleted all my data. To test if it is unhacked you can try and use it on Pokemon Battle revolution. If it is hacked you can not use it. I hate hacked shinnies.

Well, I've been a big fan of pokemon, but I think cheats are fine if u get bored of the game after finishing the game and to screw around, but when I was younger, I bought pokemon emerald and on my first time turning on the game, I chose mudkip, but his color was different. Not knowing about shiny pokemon, I restarted the game, how dumb of me, right? After I heard about shinies, I got really pissed...... >:(
  • Emerald13 - September 2, 2010 7:04 p.m.

I have used an AR back With Ruby and Saphire once or twice. That is how I got a shiny celebi- the story behind it is that i used the AR to find a celebi which the first one turned out to be shiny, so one could say its half legit. LOL. Getting it was not, but the shiny part was by chance. Other than that I dont cheat with the AR or anything. I duplicate in Emerald, but that is just using a glitch in my oppinion. Cheating is using outside devices such as an AR. I like to play the game legitly, it is more fun that way.
  • RoxyWolf - September 2, 2010 1:10 a.m.

    Any shinies I've gotten were from random encounters (Spinda, Zigzagoon, and Bronzor) or by me resetting the game in front of a legendary over and over until it was shiny... |D;; My friend did the same with her Totodile. I greatly dislike people who hack their games (for anything other than Event-Pokemon, because I can really relate there..) because.. well, what's the point of playing if you can get everything you want with no trouble? *Shrugs* reCAPTCHA: George manana. I suppose I have a name for Hihidaruma now >.>;
  • Raszero - September 1, 2010 2:39 p.m.

Just gotta say... I got a shiny Heatran, and it's 100% legit. I was really suprised to get it, but even though it has a sub-par nature and IV's I use it on wifi regardless =3 Also... I wish I could just poke some info I know on the show at times D: Nice show.
  • Zack117 - September 1, 2010 5:38 a.m.

I only use the cheat device when I start to get bored with the game, so about a year after the game comes out I use an action replay. I was also thinking that on a PM featured pokemon that you could talk about Dunsparce because I feel that this pokemon is forgotten a lot and it has a cool origin story on bulbapedia.
  • MattOfSteel - September 1, 2010 3:08 a.m.

I only "cheated" by using a game genie to get Mew, since he exists in the game but it was impossible to get him otherwise. I don't consider the Missingno glitch a cheat FYI. It's a glitch, that is where I draw the line.
  • shyfonzie - August 31, 2010 11:59 p.m.

I think it's okay to hack for event pokemon. But if some jerk battles me with a perfect IV pokemon and kicks my face in, that guy is REALLY MEAN. My friend hacked the heck out of his game. Infinite Master Balls, tons of shinies, the whole shebang. He offered me anything my heart could desire, for the price of my soul. But I did the right thing: I JUST SAID NO.
  • GamesRadarCarolynGudmundson - August 31, 2010 11:38 p.m.

@thekeith82 - good point about the starters. i wasn't really thinking about it at the time, but i guess that just means it'll be all the more important to soft reset for a lady starter this time around.
  • straight2video - August 31, 2010 11 p.m.

@Codemonkey85 I don't think they specified if he got it from a 4th gen game, it might have been possible that it had been migrated from a 3rd gen one like emerald. But I don't deny that its probably fake.
  • Codemonkey85 - August 31, 2010 9:13 p.m.

Hey Pokémon Monday crew: Just so you know, that Celebi has to be fake. In the fourth generation games, event Pokémon CANNOT be shiny (for the most part) unless they are specifically made to be always shiny. See here:
  • Crabhand - August 31, 2010 9:06 p.m.

I'm officially against cheating on pretty much any game (assuming it wasn't put in by the devs themselves), but as long as it doesn't directly alter multiplayer for other people, I don't care what people do. I've never cheated in a Pokémon game, but I have glitched achievements in Guitar Hero III that I still feel kind of bad about. But I put too much time into that game to have as few achievements as I did.
  • thefreakysurgeon - August 31, 2010 8:31 p.m.

i think it's OK, i mean i've used an Action Replay to get 999 rare candies and master balls. I've never used one to get certain pokemon or certain items. so basically i think it's OK to use one to get 999 of an item (like rare candies and master balls!)
  • GreenLikesGreen - August 31, 2010 6:01 p.m.

I only hack pokemon for competetive battles.. i never make them shiny coz it just feels wrong
  • straight2video - August 31, 2010 3:49 p.m.

On my second play through of diamond, I had a cheat that let you catch other trainers pokemon. Gotta say, it was pretty awesome. But I really dont like using cheated pokemon, cause when you always winning, it kinda takes the fun out of it.
  • SumthingStupid - August 31, 2010 1:36 p.m.

i don't care if people use cheats they can if they want but i'd rather do everything with out cheats
  • daxhavrilak - August 31, 2010 11:51 a.m.

I use action replay for all most ever game when it starts to get boring. I always play through a game with out it first. ITs fine to use just not in tournaments and the wifi battles. MY pokemon is as even Vaporeon
  • Xplosive59 - August 31, 2010 10:43 a.m.

i used them in diamond because i wanted the event only pokemon and i didnt want to go to a convention to get a single pokemon, if nintendo didnt want people to hack they should introduce DLC instead of having to go to a certain place to get a pokemon
  • philipshaw - August 31, 2010 10:13 a.m.

I have never used cheat devices because I like my Pokemon experience to be pure. But I know friends that have used them
