We watch a lot of trailers here at GamesRadar headquarters, so it's not very often that a trailer catches us off guard. We're used to massive explosions and epic calls to action. However, this trailer for Papo & Yo takes a slower, more considered approach.
I think we've got a nominee for Trailer of the Year 2012, here. It may be over four minutes long, but it cuts right to the core of what makes Papo & Yo so interesting. It aims to use gameplay to convey an emotion rather than tell a story.
Papo & Yo is being developer by Canadian studio, Minority, and is scheduled for release next week on Tuesday, August 14.
